In case you didn’t know:
During the 1920’s Coco Chanel became the first designer to create loose women’s clothing using the jersey fabrics. Traditionally used for men’s underwear. This fabric created the loose and relaxed fit and it was a complete opposite to the stiff corseted look of the time.
In 1987 Gabrielle Chanel had created her first watch that she simply called “Première”. It’s octagonal shape (just like the perfume bottle of her signature fragrance Chanel N°5 ) was borrowed from the famous geometrical shape of the Place Vendôme, seen from the windows of Mademoiselle Chanel’s room at the Hotel Ritz.
